Cabernet Sauvignon 2009
2009 Cabernet is the first sulphur free wine that has been made to last. The wine spent 3 summers in small French barrels. Still in its youth at 5 years old, it is delicious now but will continue to develop over the next 5 years. Exceptionally full bodied, rich tannins, and black fruits dominate this wine. Minerality enhances overall palate, with rich vanillas topping the finish, which just goes on and on. The wine is unfiltered, and as with many great wines, can develop a light sediment. Decanting is advised, This is a Vegan wine, made in the way wines used to be made, before the addition of animal products and sulphites became commonplace.
This wine was awarded 93 points (Gold medal) at the PAR Wine Awards in Germany in 2015.
